As sent to Radio 4 Today complaints: Norman Smith and the BBC’s editorial team show themselves to be either badly informed or to be trying to mislead their audience on issues related to the UK’s departure from the EU.

This morning’s Today report from Norman Smith presented, without any scrutiny, that the EU’s members are unified in their position on a potential trade deal with the UK and that services would not be included in their negotiating position.

Among others, Ireland and Hungary recently called for a UK-EU deal that doesn’t restrict trade in goods and services, in the past few weeks an Italian minister for economy has also called for a Canada plus-plus-plus deal, which is what the UK government want.

Although it is obvious that the BBC’s editorial position is to prevent the UK’s departure from the EU it has a duty to report impartially, which it consistently fails to do.
